SNP focused on stability and delivery ahead of crucial election

With 100 days to go until the Scottish Parliament election, Lloyd Melville, SNP candidate for Angus South has said voters are uniting behind John Swinney’s strong leadership as Westminster descends into chaos.

Lloyd Melville said the mood on the doorsteps in Angus reflects what is being seen across Scotland, with recent national polling suggesting continued strong support for the SNP, while opposition parties remain divided and lacking a clear sense of direction.

At the same time divisions within Keir Starmer’s Labour Party have intensified, the Tories are in chaos, and voters in Angus South are left asking who Westminster is really focused on.

In contrast, Lloyd Melville said the SNP under John Swinney is focused on delivering for people in Angus and across Scotland, strengthening the NHS, tackling the cost of living, and offering Scots a fresh start through independence.

The SNP Scottish Government has set out clear plans to improve frontline services, including the introduction of the first of many walk-in GP clinics and action to deliver over a million additional GP and nurse appointments, changes which will benefit families in Angus.

Scotland also continues to provide the most comprehensive cost-of-living support anywhere in the UK, support which Lloyd Melville says is making a real difference to local households.

With momentum building locally and nationally, Lloyd Melville said the election provides an opportunity for people in Angus to choose a brighter future.
